See us this Sunday December 7th on
ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition”
Be sure to mark your calendar for December 7th, 8/7 pm central on ABC to watch this special episode where over 1,700 sq. ft. of Silver Creek’s Slate landscape tiles were donated with 600 sq. ft. of Rockwood’s Verano pavers, and 800 sq.ft. of Lakeland blocks.
Rockwood Retaining Walls and Silver Creek Stoneworks made generous product contributions to the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, DeVries Family project in Hayward, Minnesota.
With the help of over 30 landscaping professionals from around the area, including Rochester Concrete Sales staff, an elaborate outdoor kitchen/patio, fireplace, and three walkways were built in just under 36 hours.

Hello All,
We took the Rockwood’s web site down over a week ago for much needed and overdue service and it’s absence has understandably alarmed more than a few visitors. My apologies for not sending this earlier but the difficulties we are having moving rockwoodwalls.com to a new internet service provider were not anticipated.
Heres the scoop: Our host (Post Bulletin) has discontinued web servicing and we were forced to go live with our site which was being debugged and upgraded since early this year at Network Solutions. Our site is a monster in content and complexity and without a dedicated web staffer, it has fallen out of compliance with all the latest software that make the web run efficiently, properly and fast. Our new service provider has the latest software, our old one did not, so issues appear everywhere we go to update our content.
You can assure all your contacts that the website functionality is a technical issue only and that we will be back live very soon.
Remember, we’re a whole lot better in the dirt than we are on the web. Have people contact me directly if they have questions.
Again, my apologies.

Hello Everyone,
The Rockwood website will be down for a brief period, while we make changes and adjustments to the site. We recently switched servers and need to correct some file path issues, so that all the images are showing correctly and you don’t arrive at a page that looks strange. We thank you for your patience. In the meantime, check out the new ShopRockwood.com. If you have questions feel free to leave a comment below. I’ll try to respond as soon as possible.

Rockwood Retaining Walls will be making a donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation in the amount of $2,000. Half of the money was raised as part of the Rockwood Strong Man Contest held at the Cheeca Lodge in Islamorada, Florida back in December. Rockwood agreed to match the amount raised at the event. All proceeds benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Over 1 ton of food donated.
During November, Rockwood Retaining Walls and Rochester Concrete Products sponsored a food drive for Channel One Food Shelf. Donations were collected at the two offices that challenged each other to collect the most items in the four-week contest. The weekly challenge items were: 1) Canned tuna, 2) Canned vegetables, 3) Cereal, and 4) canned soup. Chris Price, CEO of Rochester Concrete Products said: “The challenge created great awareness and everyone got involved. As a result, the real winner of the contest was our Channel One Food Shelf with a donation of 2,249 total pounds of food. All of our employees were very generous and can be proud of their effort.” We were recognized in the Post Bulletin, see the article here.
